About arubaday

Checked October 21, 2026 every number on this site has a date next to it; this page says where each one comes from

Aruba, by the day. Which beach today and how many ships are in port. What the wind is doing, and which tour is worth your money.

Who writes this

I'm Mila Croes, from Noord. I spent 6 seasons at a resort activities desk on Palm Beach. If something is wrong, tell me: the form is here.

What this site is

A page for the day you're on the island. The top of every page tells you what changes today: ships in port, wind, sunrise. Below it is what doesn't change: which beach is calm, what a tour really includes and what the park costs at the gate.

Tours are my own selection, not a catalogue. I read all 491 listings for Aruba and kept 199. How I choose has its own page, with the numbers behind every list.

What this site is not

  • Not a booking site. Tours book on Viator at Viator's price. If you book through a button here, Viator pays me a commission and you pay the same. The disclosure has the details.
  • Not paid placement. No operator pays to be on a list, and the commission never changes an order.
  • Not a tourist board. I'll tell you what a tour leaves out, which beach suits your day and when a tour isn't worth your morning.

Where the numbers come from

Ships in port The port's monthly schedule, re-read every morning. The room on board is each ship's capacity at two guests a cabin, from the cruise lines. It's a planning guide, not a count of who comes ashore. 66 ships in the table so far.
Wind and temperature The airport's weather report (the METAR of Reina Beatrix airport), read every 30 minutes. Sunrise and sunset are calculated for Oranjestad.
Tours, prices, ratings Viator's catalogue for Aruba: 491 listings read one by one. Prices get checked against Viator every night, and the lists get reviewed every 2 weeks. Ratings are Viator's and Tripadvisor's, each with its date.
Park fees and hours Aruba Conservation Foundation for Arikok's $22. The Aruba Tourism Authority for the $20 sustainability fee charged through the ED card. The resort's portal sells the Flamingo Beach pass, and the pass page names the dated source for each price.
Beaches 9 beaches, each with the distance from the cruise terminal, the shade and the parking. Facilities come from the tourism authority and each beach's sources. Distances are by road, measured along OpenStreetMap roads.
Photos 84 photos, each with its author and license on the photo credits page. Tour photos come from the operators' listings on Viator.
